― Sarah Dessen, The Truth About Forever

“Love is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible – it cannot be seen or measured, yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment, and offer you more joy than any material possession could.”
Barbara De Angelis
“I love you very much, probably more than anybody could love another person.”
—Henry, 50 First Dates
“You can never replace anyone because everyone is made up of such beautiful specific details.”

Claire and Chris got married on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in late-September. September has been a popular month for weddings this year due to the milder weather. We have been so lucky with this outdoor wedding ceremony, it felt as if it was still summer.
I met the couple last year when they were first engaged and have gotten to know them during their engagement session at Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver. Claire and Chris love the outdoors, so what better way to incorporate the outdoors for their wedding day.
The girls got ready at a friends’ apartment in North Vancouver. Claire wore the most gorgeous wedding dress by Truvelle and her bridesmaids wore beautiful pastel grey bridesmaid dresses by Park & Fifth. I love the boho style, the muted colours, and the beautiful florals.
Chris and the guys got ready in downtown and were pretty chill in the morning. Apparently the guys went for a bike ride before they got dressed.
The couple had their first look at Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver overlooking the coast. It was beautiful and romantic. The wedding party joined in later for some photos as well. A few days before the wedding, Claire had mentioned that one of her bridesmaid was injured during soccer practice and had to be on crutches. We were worried that it wasn’t possible to have photos done at the park since there was a bit of a trek. The wedding party were amazing (especially her bridesmaid) for being such a trooper!
The ceremony was a dream to photograph. Cleveland Dam is one of my favourite spots for a ceremony, seriously. How beautiful is the gorgeous mountain backdrop. It didn’t feel like we were in the city!
The cocktail reception was held at the Nomad Restaurant on Main Street. It was a pretty relaxing evening with drinks, food, a few speeches followed by dancing.
We had a lot of fun at Claire and Chris’ beautiful wedding and would like to congratulate them again on their recent marriage!
